One of those VFL players could well be Reece Conch's older brother who came over from Perth last season and played for Surrey Park and won the B & F.

A good story is Gideon Simon this year; our PNG kid. If we had our own VFL side this year, he would've played each week. It's just too hard a sell to a Coburg that he needs to play VFL because he's a "Richmond" player. It's pretty hard on the Coburg-listed guys.

 :banghead :banghead :banghead

smegging coburg bastards

he other advantage is Punt Rd. I think they've got the tick to play games here next year

 :clapping :clapping :clapping

put that in your pipe and smoke it WP

Did you read the entire article or have you just selected the bit that suit your argument

Or perhaps you actually donated some to money to help pay for the upgrade  ;D

But in case you missed it I'll repost the other important bit about PRO for you:

Q: And the ground here - you're definitely playing at Punt Rd Oval next year?

A:The interface needs to be done but I think the Club's moving forward with doing everything it can to get it right by sort of April next year when we will be playing games. The surface is fine, it's just making sure the surrounding area is in the right state for the supporters to come here and watch.

So that means right now it still isn't ready and it isn't guaranteed it will be ready, Club are trying but ....

So while I'm smoking my pipe suggest you have a nice stiff drink and chill until it is officially announced that it is ready to play games

Whens the VFL fixture out ?

Usually comes out Dec

I stopped reading cause a the not developing Gideon properly to accommodate Coburg smegheads upset me greatly

Do you know how much I have donated to the 'PRO toilet fund?'

You stopped reading at the bit about Gideon Simon but you know what is said one sentence after the bit about Gideon

So at what point did you become upset exactly  ;D

No idea how much you've donated and I don't really care.

But facts are unless people (read members & fans again) cough up the $1mil they need it wont get finished. So get and donate and you can have your games at PRO.

perhaps you can do the plumbing pro-bono  ;D

Why is it so hard for people to just admit that they were wrong?

That's the problem with society these days

Will admit that I was wrong when I am actually wrong  ;)

In this case as it stands I am not wrong, ground isn't ready, no guarantee it will be, club "doing everything" to get it ready but currnetly they wouldn't be allowed to play there ...dare i say it FACT  :rollin

Arent you being too literal wp? Obviously as of right now its not ready, but it will be ready bc they're working on it. Just like our players aren't ready for rnd 1 now, they will be after preseason

Richmond’s decision to facilitate its own standalone VFL team, which was made possible through contributions to the Club’s Fighting Tiger Fund, also presented the possibility of playing games at the ME Bank Centre.

However, the Club’s ability to schedule matches at the venue is dependent on its capacity to raise funds to complete the interface around the oval.

Richmond fans can help bring competitive games back to Punt Road Oval by giving 110% when they sign up for the 2014 season.  To find out more, visit the Fighting Tiger Fund page.

Richmond’s VFL team is supported by the Club’s development partners, SCF and Jeep.

They should have just put on a $15 levy for 1 year on all memberships across the board. That would just about have covered it. 70,000 members x $15 levy = $1,050,000. I dont like the begging look that this campaign has just increase the price of memberships by $15 and be done with it.
