I say this coz one of my doctors is an old fitzroy supporter and he lost interest in footy be good if the old fitzroy people have a  team to support.

Yep Brunswick Street Oval is the traditional home of Fitzroy

Have played cricket there, fantastic venue

Love the old stand and change rooms which our heritage listed so cannot be demolished

It is a community ground now, not fenced off

Always something on there every weekend summer & winter

They should've killed norf not fitzroy. Fitzroy definitely had more supporters than Norf but North were successful in that era. I wonder what fitzroy supporters would've been like in 2013!

Pretty sure the AFL and/or Brisbane own the rights to the Fitzroy Lions name - so doubt another one would be allowed, think this why that Fitzroy club that was started up a few years ago by a group of old supporters called themselves Fitzroy Reds. A better idea would be to call a resurrected Fitzroy one of their older nicknames like Maroons or Gorillas.

Also like to see a resurrected South with their original nickname "Blood Stained Angels" in the VFL.

we didnt do anything of the sort. we gave them our captain and our leading goalkicker who could also play at Full Back also in Jeff Hogg. They gave us Dundas mehhhh Michael Gale was Ok and Broderick was a star have to admit it was a good deal but only because Michael Gale and Broderick turned out good. That Hogg had a knackered back is bad luck they should have paid for the X-Rays  ;D
