Essendon got the 'Weapon' in to supposedly give them superior fitness yet they were outrun by a North side with just one player left on the bench  :wallywink  :rollin.

Essendon can have any coach they like but the facts are their midfield is still turgid.

All this talk of them getting their pre season wrong..no talk of them having an easy draw in the first half of the year.

The media darlings were massively overrated.

That "weapon" guy, earlier in the season hailed as the reason behind Essendon's fitness is now being flogged by Bumbers supporters.

He will take to fall for the Golden Boys Hird/Thompson this year.

No finals for the Bombers after winning 8 of their first 9 games  :wallywink  :rollin

Significant soft tissue injuries end careers for 30+ year olds these days. We saw that with Richo - 2nd in the Brownlow in 2008 and 6 weeks into the following year it was career over. Fletcher has done a groin injury so father time may have finally caught up with him.

Another victim of the 'weapon'  :whistle

Hirdy should not be sacked he is the saviour remember.

In three years time the bums need to look at this regardless of the results. :thumbsup
