You have to go back to 1971 to last find a side (Melbourne) that missed the finals after starting a season 8-1. The Dees finished with 11 wins and a draw so Essendon is worse  ;D.

Golden Boy and Bomba have no answers?

It's called karma - never stab a Tiger in the back and not finish the job

Hope you fail again next year

There's some irony in that Bombers' father-son Joe Daniher looks to be a gun KPP but because they'll need to use their first rounder to grab him the Bombers will likely miss out on the chance to draft a quality young A-grade midfielder they actually need. They have a few quality talls but their midfield is crap and inconsistent aside from Watson. Long may that stay that way and they keep finishing mid-ladder - not good enough to become a contender but not bad enough to improve their list.

Come out all fired up for 10 minutes then cave. The sign of a bottom 4 side.

I hope Hird is so stubborn he keeps going down the same path and makes his players too big!
