compensation pick effect.

useing the ladder at the start of this round does that mean come draft time would melbourne have picks 3, 4, and  12 when their compensation picks for scully are activated.
am i correct in assuming they get a pick straight after their first rounder and a mid first rnd pick straight after pick 9.

does geelong end up with something like 15, 18 and 25.

gc  something like 2, 26,27,31.

can anyone work out exactly the picks they will get based on the ladder atm
i have us with 8, 35,37, 55, 73.

The dees look bang on. They might swap pick 12 for Caddy.

Not sure about the others as I've given them stuff all thought.

Dont we have that pick after Ports 2nd rounder?

compensation picks go like this i think.

1/  straight after your first pick. melb scully.
2/ mid first round compensation which is after the 9 bottom sides. melb scully. wb ward, ad davis, geel used on smedts i think.
3/ end of first round picks.  gws pp. gc bock, gc brennan, bris harbrow, freo palmer.
4/ straight after your second pick.  rich krakouer.

Did Melbourne and Geelong activate their picks at the start of the year?

I'm not sure about the different bands, but I do know that Melbourne's compo comes immediately after their first pick. So 3 and 4 would be about right. Unsure of the rest of the question, but for anyone who missed it earlier in the year, our 2nd round compo (linked to Port) comes immediately after Port's 2nd round pick. That means we will get to use the compo pick before our actually second rounder since they should finish below us.

Not all teams have activated them. Melbourne have 3,4,13,26. Geelong have 15, 36, 55. Dogs have 5, 6, 27, 46, 47. (They have a Ward and Reid one.) We have 9, 29, 31, 50. GC only have 2, 25, 44. Brissy have 8, 23, 30, 49.

do you anyone know how many cp picks have been activated we may then get some sort of idea of what the draft order is.  i had heard at least 8 have been activated but dont know if this is correct.

2011 gc have our bock compensation pick which is at the end of the first rnd they have their own first rounder and their second rounder that would give them something like 2, 25 26. have been told they also traded into other compensation picks.

geelong used their first rnd cp on smedts last yr think that leaves them their mid 1st rnd cp which will be around 15 plus their firdst rounder which atm would be around pick 20ish  plus their second rounder.

wb pick for ward comes directly after their first pick which atm would give them pick 5 1st rnd  and 6 cp.

ports second rounder may not be until pick 32ish  going by current ladder position and  dependng on how many activations there  are.

what a bloody shemozzle the sooner we get all these cp out of the way and  back to normal the better. but hey thinking on it with free agency that aint going to happen.
