Challenge for Simmonds and Krakouer

Both guys need to make a statement today otherwise it'll be hard to keep them in the side with the likes of young tall Pattison and midfielder Gilmour knocking on the door plus midfielders Hartigan and Hyde soon to return.

Challenge: to achieve today at least the below stats:

Simmonds:  mid-teen possessions, double figure marks (a number contested), 3 goals.

Krakouer:  mid to high teen possessions, 3 goals.

Time for them starting today to repay the faith the club put in them over the off-season by offering them generous long-term contracts.

after a slow atsrt by snake he sure did control the rucjk and midfield gr8 game his best all year and krak , his onball work was gr8, he never gabve in and won many hard balls and never stopped puting pressure on,

Agree X. Very happy with both Simmonds and Krak's games today. Simmonds didn't drop his head after dropping that simple mark and just killed Primus and Lade with 23 hitouts when he was moved into the ruck. Best of all his taps went to Richmond players or to our advantage. Krak's game is what he needs to do every week.

what was pleasing as u said that snake didnt drop his head, he kept at it and neve rgave up, and basickllay the whole team did that, last year we would have crumbled and got smashed, but teh whole team showed gr8 fighting character, by far our  best win in a long time!
now its time to crush the blues and the skunks and be 6-2

Im the first person to eat my words....and today Kraks made me do that in the first half. In saying that, I felt he waned a bit as the game got on but none the less he showed improvement and for that I can only commend him.

Snake was just awesome. He was the reverse of Kraks, started slow but once he got going......was a joy to watch. Was brilliant in the ruck, was handy around the ground.

The beauty of footy? There is another challenge always waiting.....so Im throwing down the gauntlet from now: Back it up next week. Everyone can play one good game, but to be consistent is the difference.

Simmonds played his best game for the Tigers yesterday. Once he was thrown in the ruck he controlled it but not only that his work around the ground was terrific. Port didn't have a ruckman mobile enough to challenge him around the ground.

Krak - certainly lifted and he needed too.

I agree om21, the challenge for these 2 (and the rest of the team for that matter) is to reproduce it against Carlton, then Collingwood and then the next week.

Simmonds prefers the ruck and did well there.  And boy, oh boy, is the lad a spunk or what!!!  And a very nicely mannered one at that

Probably the only time Richo and Simmonds got tackled on Sunday was when Julz had them trapped in that doorway. lol Simmonds being able to bounce Byron Pickett out of his way but not Julz
