Astbury and Miller both didn't play for Coburg yesterday by the way. Normally you have one player as a spare 23rd man for Sunday Richmond games rather than two.

agree but it wont end until after the 2013 season

Though in this week's Inside Fooball paper there is a very interesting article by Phil Cleary that says Adam Potter (coburg senior coach) has been told by the Coburg baord he wont be coaching the seniors in 2013 (despite having a contract IIRC), he can coach the ressies if he wants and that the Coburg senior coach will appointed by Richmond for season 2013 and that is in part to save Coburg money ...  ::) ::)

Shambolic and totally disrespectful to Adam

Will leave it at that ....

Good luck to whoever coaches Coburg next year. Even if the Coburg playing list wasn't such a basketcase, it'll be a nightmare coaching a 'team' that knows it will be split apart at the end of the season. You can hardly tell players to play for the jumper and the club when half the side will be bailing. As far onfield it would be better if we were getting our own stand alone side next year but that was never going to happen  :-\.

Development coach Greg Mellor's summary of how the Richmond-listed players performed at Coburg last Saturday:

Ben Darrou
Ben was solid in his customary position down back for a half, before being switched forward as part of his development.  While he looked a little lost at times, he did kick a goal and we believe this is a position he could play well in the future.

Todd Elton
The conditions were very tough for all forwards and, as a result, Todd had a quiet game. But he presented well, worked hard, and managed to kick a goal.

 Steve Verrier
Steve also had a tough day and was well down on his recent form.  He spent a bit of time forward and managed a couple of shots for goal, which was pleasing.

Angus Graham
A better effort from Angus.  He, along with ‘Browney’, dominated the hit-outs, but the team’s midfield was unable to transfer those into clearances.  Took a couple of good marks in the difficult conditions and kicked a goal, but we are still looking for greater impact around the ground from him.

Tom Derickx
Tom had little influence on the game, playing as both a key forward and back.  He had been in reasonable form, so we expect more from him this weekend.  His competitiveness remains one of his strengths.

Addam Maric
Addam had a good first half in his role as an on-baller, collecting 13 possessions and providing run and drive through the midfield.  His impact was limited in the second half, however, after he received a knock to his leg, and he played out the game as a small forward.

Brett O’Hanlon
Brett played only a half, as he was a carry-over emergency for Richmond’s match against the Bulldogs.  During his time on the ground, he performed very well, picking up 15 possessions and creating several scoring opportunities for the team.  The drive he generated was missed when he went off the ground.

Andrew Browne
Big Browney again was dominant in the ruck duels, but the team did not capitalise enough on his ascendancy.  He tried hard, but like Angus, did not have much influence around the ground.

Piva Wright
A solid game from Piva.  As a key back, he played the conditions reasonably well, and was clean with his work at ground level.  We were pleased with his ball use and decision-making and are encouraging him to continue working on his defensive techniques.

Matt Dea
Matt was suited by the conditions.  Hard and tough, he set up well defensively and, offensively, made sure he hit the 100% option.  We are encouraging Matt to run hard offensively and help create opportunities to score from the back half.

Kel Moore
A very pleasing game from Kel, who was probably our best player on the day.  He read the play well, taking six intercept marks, and provided much-needed rebound from these turnovers.  His disposal efficiency, by hand and foot, was very good, and he brought many teammates into the game with his sound decision-making.
