The bummers supporters on here have turned into Norf supporters now.

Some funny stuff posted on Bomberblitz in their Rich vs Ess game thread.  I don't blame their supporters going to town on that 'team' and list. Seriously they are a undisciplined skill-less rabble. They were lucky we stuffed up so many times going forward otherwise it could've been a 20+ goal whitewash. Even if we had kicked straight making all those dumb errors we would have finished with 24.13-157 and a 100-point flogging of them. GWS or the Suns would beat Essendon right now if they played like that. How they won 8 of their first 9 is amazing. I think that's what makes it so hilarious. From equal top of the ladder and their supporters talking premierships to a rabble that has crashed to miss the finals in the space of about 8 weeks. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving lot.

Btw surely any other coach would be copping it big-time from their supporters and the likes of Robbo and Rohan in the media by now if their name wasn't James Hird.

If we can just keep them out of the 8, and have the Maggotpies drop out of top 4 contention my work here will be done for 2012.

Hird wants The Weapon to stay on 

ESSENDON coach James Hird has backed under-fire high performance coach Dean Robinson to keep his job at the Bombers next season.

In the wake of widespread criticism over Essendon's training approach, Hird admitted some players had been unable to cope with the tough training regime overseen by Robinson.

Doing the radio rounds on Saturday following Essendon's 45-point loss to Richmond on Friday night, Hird backed Robinson to continue to steer the Bombers' fitness program.

"I can't see how that would happen," Hird told 3AW when asked if Robinson could be sacked.

Asked to give a guarantee Robinson would be with the Bombers in 2013, Hird said: "Yes, yes I can, right now.
