Wednesday, January 23, 2013“The first time I was introduced to the players, the first thing I said was, ‘you better understand how lucky you are to be at this club’,” Williams told Roar Vision.
“I was lucky enough to come to the Best and Fairest, and I felt like I’d been there for years. I can’t believe how many people have come off the street, to have a chat to me, and welcome me to the Club,” he said.
“It’s something I’ve really missed. I’ve been at clubs that haven’t been able to draw a crowd for a long time now, and it’s going to bring about great memories of a full-house at the MCG, and winning big games is what it’s all about.”
“If you can instil a great work ethic into them, make sure that they understand the game plan, and if they work hard, they’ll get there,” says Williams.
“That’s what we’re here to do, drive them along and give them some guidance along the way.”
