Hey,

I had pigs for a number of years.

I can categorically say you can put lipstick on them.

You can put a dress on them.

...and if you have enough beers, they are no longer pigs.........

The messiah mentality lives on at Carlton. Let's hope it all turns to tears for the Blues starting round 1 next year :pray.

Interesting to see how Heath Scotland goes now under the coach that dumped him from Collingwood.

Carlton 10am coach announcement
« Reply #19 on: September 11, 2012, 09:39:35 AM »
CARLTON president Stephen Kernahan will make an announcement regarding the Blues' head coaching position at 10am with reports suggesting Mick Malthouse will be named.

The Age says Malthouse will put pen to paper on a three-year deal to coach the Blues.

Malthouse has been tipped to coach Carlton since the club sacked former coach Brett Ratten in August, after the Blues failed to make the finals this year.

Watch the Carlton press conference live

The 59-year-old, who coached Collingwood to its premiership in 2010 and Grand Final loss to Geelong in 2011, said on Monday he was growing tired of the speculation.

"I'm sick to death of it. You just want to walk down the street without being assaulted by it. It's continuous," he told 3AW.

"It's like a dripping tap at the moment. Hopefully [it will be resolved] in the not-too-distant future.

Brett Ratten linked to vacant Carlton coaching job

The Carlton Football Club has launched a bold bid to secure Brett Ratten as the club’s senior coach for the 2013 season.

As has been the case in recent years under its current administration, Carlton has been linked to pretty much every high-profile out-of-contract player, coach or administrator, including Mick Malthouse, Travis Cloke and Lynden Dunn.

In a dramatic twist, the Blues, who sacked Ratten last Thursday, are believed to have this morning made a bold play to land Ratten as Senior Coach for the next 3 years.

“We are interested in Brett. He is high-profile and not currently employed by the Carlton Football Club – the main criteria we look for when bringing someone to the club” said an unnamed club insider.

In other news, former Essendon coach Matthew Knights tried to contact The Daily Maggot to have his name included as a potential appointment at Carlton. The Daily Maggot did not return his calls last night.

I personally think it's an abomination that any former Richmond premiership player coaches the scum.
It's just as wrong as when Walls came to punt road the worst decision the club has made in its history.
The club that keeps giving.

And surely Eddie too. When club presidents interfere with football decisions and play favourites it usually always ends in tears. No doubt if Eddie wasn't prez Malthouse would still be coach of Collingwood.
