Richmond remains active in trade discussions, with the club showing interest in a third South Australian player. The Tigers are already in the box seat to secure backman Troy Chaplin from Port Adelaide, and Crows' goalkicker Chris Knights.

But Richmond is also understood to have shown interest in Power hard-nut Matt Thomas.

The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of the year and has had a one-year offer from the Power.

The hardworking midfielder averaged 15 possessions a game this season but has shown elite defensive skills over his career. Last season he averaged the 11th most pressure acts in the AFL.
