Hey MT, are we having a Phantom draft this year? If so count me in. I'll even take on the mantle of the Tigers again as selecting Devon Smith with Pick 15 was sheer genius and I can't wait to get a hold of pick 9 this year.  :pray
A glutton for punishment tiga. Remember to bring the whip and chair again ;D.

Yep we'll be having a Phantom Draft this year  :thumbsup. We'll probably start when the trade period finishes so all the picks and order for each club are confirmed. I think that'll give us about 4 weeks to get it done in.

Love the avatar and the comedian.
Was lucky enough to see his stand up (sitting down) act when he visited Melbourne years ago.

Thanks Y&B.  :cheers Dave Allen was a great man.  I think I went to the same show as you. Was it at the comedy Theatre around 1990? Watched all his shows on TV as a kid and his live show was brilliant! I remember there was a very large lady sitting in the front row of the dress circle who continually kept laughing when everyone else went quiet. It was like shooting fish in a barrel for Dave.  :lol

That's the one!
You may have heard me gasping for air after that part of the show.
Was still laughing on the way home.
The man was a genius.

I would love Garlett so much Xfactor and would make a midfield look classy.Only risk offield. problems.

Not an inspiring list.

Really?

I think there are some very good core footballers on that list.

Jack Ziebell
Chad Cornes
Mitch Clark
Hamish McIntosh
Mark McVeigh
Ben McEvoy

Any of those improve our side at their peak.

Chad Cornes should have won a brownlow was the best player in the comp for a few years

Core is quite different to inspirational. You'd hope there would be a few decent footballers with a top ten selection but not too many stars there.

While the draft camp will clarify things further as far as athletic ability, I'm presuming Whitfield, Toumpas, Grundy plus father-sons Viney and Daniher are lock-ins in the top 10. That leaves 4 unknown picks before ours.

1. GWS - Whitfield
2. GC - Toumpas
3. Melb - Viney (f/s)
4. Melb - Grundy
5. WB - ?
6. WB - ?
7. Port - ? ...... presumably will go for one of the SA kids expected to go high up.
8. Bris - ?
9. Rich - ?
10. Ess - Daniher (f/s)
Grundy predicted to go to the Dees.

Almost threw up when Fev said he was soft on the footy show.  Pretty sure the Chad was BOG next time they played Carlton as well :lol
