I think it was TFLUA who said he's not a very high character kid and someone else mentioned he yells abuse at his teammates.

Quote
Yeah, he is a bad character. He is selfish in a way that he wants all the glory, even if there is a teammate who is a better option. He also abuses teammates and has a bad attitude. I wouldn't knock his ability though, he is a very good footballer and he would be considered a top 3 pick without the leg problems.

from Big Footy

If it was from "Big Footy" as you call it, why quote posts from it, in fact why even read it?
because i can
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Here's a start. It's a lottery:-

Sure is. Thanks for the links.
I'd be over the moon if Stringer slipped to 9 but I think the dogs will take him.
Macrae is an interesting one, looks an absolute ball magnet but can he use it?
Vlastuin, looks good, but do you spend a top 10 pick on a 187cm defender. Don't think we can afford that again after doing similar 2 yrs ago with Conca.

Think you will find vlastuin is a midfielder. He played across half back during the champs partly, at least, due to injury

OK.

I'm just a little worried, we have used last 2 first round picks on half back flankers.

I feel the same as you mate. I would class Conca and Ellis as HBF's/Def' Mids. I reckon we should go for an out and out attacking Mid/HFF with Pick 9. Just on the Vids, I reckon this bloke has the best of the Pick 9 candidates:

Ben Kennedy (on page 2)

And he likes "Richmond". :thumbsup

But I still prefer MacCrae.

I wouldn't say no to Kennedy, he doesn't look like he is ready made though, would need time in the ressies.
But yeah I think we need someone attacking, Macrae fits that and I am warming to him too.

Going by what Dimma said in the midfield depth thread it looks like we're after a mid at pick 9 who is a centre square ballwinner.

“We’re looking for players who can step up into the midfield as our second rotation,” said Richmond coach Damien Hardwick.

“We probably lacked a bit of that this year.  When Cotchin and Martin went forward we lost a bit inside the centre square.

Blues poster on Richmond draft thread on BigFooty reckons his source said blues aren't looking at Menzel anymore because he'll be gone at 8.

Menzel to the Bulldogs at 6.

From the Bulldogs forum.

"Just popped in to let you know that a fairly strong source (although Carlton related) says that we have crossed Menzel off our list, because he will be selected by you."
