Was a Tiges fan growing up

His dad Wayne , played for & coached Hobart Tigers
pedro was a bloody good player played  footy against him.
reckon ricky has talent but a couple of real queries as usual.
why another forward we took edwards and we took knights. arent we in need of mids. obviously not.

on petterd himself 24 yo supposed forward . but he doesnt kick goals for what ever reason. doesnt have a big defensive side to his game hes not done a lot in what 6 or 7  yrs at melbourne and hes managed just 50 odd games in that time.
just putting it out there. imo there were better options available to us both in performance and list needs. ah well i suppose there will be those who squeal like stuck pigs complaining about being negative.
i recall i wanted max duffy last yr and got laughed at.

This guy was a natural born goal kicker until injuries cruelled his career. 2 years back. He can mark and really puts his head over the ball, he ll get his chance and prove to be a bargain :shh

With the recruitment of Edwards and Petterd it's clear we want more marks taken i50. Addressing a very real need cheaply, hope at least one works.

Shifting the focus off Jack I reckon MM, makes us much harder to match up on down forward and gives our mids multiple viable targets.

Pick 7: Ricky Petterd

Jackson says: He's very talented and has unfortunately been a bit hamstrung with injury but we certainly remember back to his good years where he could impact at AFL level and I remember him fondly from his performances as an 18-year-old. Hopefully he can have a bit of luck on the injury stakes.

He spoke very confidently. I hope he is as confident in his body holding up.

What was interesting from his interview is that he is already training and ready to go. Thought he was injured. Did we pull a shifty? :whistle

Petterd revealed how an ongoing Achilles injury had stalled his career for the past two years.

''I haven't felt this good in two years, and running-wise I'm pulling up really good,'' he said.

Without a club to train with, Petterd was forced to prepare mostly by himself during the off-season.

Not really being injured doubt he would have been allowed permission to train with another club

Will say he does present (speak) well in interviews

yeah, i was thinking last night how with these mature recruits, even with a few injuries we may not have to play mr magoo, which can only be a good thing.

But he said he isn't injured and he has been training but by himself.
