Rumour on another board we have signed Josh Toy as a delisted free agent?  Anyone heard this one??

Never understood why people rate Toy. There was nothing at junior level that stood out IMO and he's done nothing since being drafted.

Is he a free agent in any case? I thought he rejected a contract from the Suns.

I think he was delisted and so becomes a free agent. 

Edit: Just rechecked the AFL website and can confirm that he was delisted.

unless the gold coast are playing funny buggers, Toy is not a free agent as it appears he has been offered a contract.

He has spoken with the Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn and, briefly, with Essendon but also feels positive about remaining with the Suns, who have offered him a one-year contract extension, should a trade not be worked out.

I believe that the Suns told him that if he was unable to find another club they would step up to the plate with a one year contract......
