was he thats news to me.
if your going to take cheap shots at least get the facts right.
from the above i take it you think helbig cant play in defense.
hard nosed accountable pacy mid whos good in contested situations with good disposal and vision. seems to me he has all the requirements to make a damn good defender with the added bonus of him being able to rotate thru the midfield. he started 10 kg below where he needed to be he now about right.
have often said we should not be drafting flankers in the hope of turning them into mids. but we should be drafting genuine mids and utilising their talents on the flanks.

i take it your having a shot  over the mcintosh thread. get over it.they said we needed genuine mids and tried to tell us mcintosh was a mid. there is a pretty clear distinction between drafting a genuine mid and drafting a tall defender in the hope of turning him into a mid. most sensible  people have no problem making that distinction. seems you cant or choose not to.

i have never said mcintosh will not or cannot become a mid but seriously questioned their thinking in taking him as one.. as it is  i see mcintosh  as a more accountable  birchall type.he may even play kp.reckon ive  said hes a decent pick where we took him and he certainly as a tall defender fills a need.

when did they say we needed "genuine mids?"
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

just winding you up claw, take some supplements and chillax once in a while  :cheers

i'm a helbig fan and he needs to find a spot somewhere, not sure his disposal is quite up to a HB role, but it's better than most back there so why not

Yes - defensive HFF is all the rage.

Could work.

What about a defensive HFF who rolls through as a genuine hard nosed mid? I'll supply the plaster
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

What did we all think of Tigga's first game in Y&B as our first pick in last year's draft?

Looks the goods does Nick.
Very impressive.
Maybe a tad early to say but me thinks he looks like he might slip through to round 1.
The club that keeps giving.

what about the dudes on Big Footy complaining before we drafted him that he is too vanilla? Whatever the fu stuff that means.
