7:44 PM Thu 22 Nov, 2012Richmond has selected versatile running half back/wingman Kamdyn McIntosh with it’s second pick (selection 31 overall) in the 2012 National Draft).
McIntosh came to prominence in 2012 with strong performances as a key defender for the WA U18 team in the 2012 Carnival.
“A strong carnival gave him great confidence on his return to WAFL football, and he quickly graduated to the league side at his club Peel Thunder,” said Richmond Recruiting Manager Francis Jackson.
“He then went to the AFL Draft Combine, displaying his super running capabilities, ranking in the 97 percentile in the endurance-based beep test with a 14.08 score, followed up with a 10min, 14sec 3km time trial, ranking in the 97th percentile.”
“Kamdyn is a great one-on-one competitor, and combined with his size and running ability, is ideally suited to modern AFL football.”
