Carlton coach Denis Pagan has hit out at a newspaper article linking him to the coaching job at Richmond in 2005.
Pagan, who is in his second year with the Blues after a ten year stint with the Kangaroos which produced two premierships, was not impressed with the report.
"What a lot of drivel. As if you'd walk out on a contract? I think my record shows that wouldn't happen. I don't know how these things happen," Pagan said at Optus Oval before training on Friday.
"It's absolutely amazing stuff. The only way I'll be moving from Carlton is when I'm pushed out the door."
Pagan said Richmond coach Danny Frawley, who is out of contract with the Tigers at the end of the season, had every right to be disappointed with the insinuation that he would replace him at Punt Rd.
"So he should be and so am I," Pagan said.
When asked if he had been contacted by Richmond regarding the coaching position next year, Pagan was adamant in his response.
"No I haven't. I think we'll move on a bit now. I think we've answered it pretty succinctly," Pagan said.
