I'm still waiting for Marty Mcgrath to come good. Kicked 5 on debut did Marty :thumbsup

Formed a lethal forward line combo with Lounder.

Billy Nicholls hit McGrath shoe lace out about 10 times that night against the Dogs. ;D

They were about 12 years apart?

Thats what made them so lethal.  Anything in that period they smashed - no defence could get near them.  You could say they were bookends to a rich piece of Tigerland history.   ;D

reckon the top 6 from this yr have to have bloody good yrs again.  the top 6 are debateable maric cotchin deledio tuck morris riewoldt are probably it for me we dont have the depth or experience for any of these blokes to go backwards.
if we really want to make the 8 and challenge we desperately need
vickery to become a decent 2nd ruckman. we need both ellis and conca to improve a fair bit.
we will definately need signioficant contributions from chaplin knights and edwards.
we need helbig and vlastuin at the very least to have impact this yr mid field depth anyone. at the very lkeast we need these types in the team even in other roles.
we desperately need most likely griffiths to go to the next level as a forward ffs we cant have one decent tall forward week in week out. oh and foley to have a full injury free season close to his best.

finally we all expect improvement but have we done enough to catch the front runners and have we done more than those clubs who we are in the mix with. theres 18 teams and all they want to do is knock over the opposition.

This is harder than it looks.

Cotch ....... clearly our best player. How will the captaincy fit him?
Lids ........ our next best player. Showed he can play in the middle. Need that again along with goals from the midfield.
Maric ........ needs to back up this year and stay healthy.
Jack ......... our best forward. Still kicked 65 goals and won the Coleman in a "poor" year. He'll have a better prepared preseason than last summer.
Chaplin ....... his job is to shutdown the big gorillas that Rance can't.
Dusty ...... got a few gunning for him. A chance next year to shut up his critics.

Guys like Vickery, Conca and co. need to go to the next level next year while we need Grigg and Morris to have similar years to this season.
