Why are we passing?

Why not? If you don't rate what's available then you don't pick for the sake of it

Reckon we want to take 4 rookies

I reckon use it on this  guy had a fantastic season in the SANFL and is 22 Central District ruckman Jack Hannath.
yes please you can bet your bottom dollar melbourne will take him with their first rookie pick. take hannath in the psd he will give just as much atm than wood or stephenson and he has a pretty good upside imo.
i still think looking at all the ruckmen available this yr that hannath is the second best one available outside of grundy.
the list is screaming at us to take a ruckman why not one with genuine promise who is readyb to play. use the rookie draft for 3 mids. two mature and sam lowrie hopefully.

Yet we draft Aaron Edwards in the N.D and then pass with Kurt Tippett available?

For the sake of not spending an extra ~$600k per year on a dubious talent improvement I get it.

A edwards was traded for, on a one year contract.
Anyone drafted onto the list proper must be given a two year contract

Rookies can be given a one year contract.

I would doubt we can afford to pay what tippet is asking, and any club that drafts him has to meet his demands, nor did he nomitate for the ND

Yes fair call. I am dubious on the selection of Edwards, thats all. I think we are deviating too far away from youth.

These are the ruckmen types we should be churning through, players who come good around this age due to "growing into their bodies" etc. I wanted Giles, he was tearing it up and anybody could tell he would make the grade 2nd time around simply bc he had matured in mind and body. Sure, we went Xman and it hasnt worked out but i think we are better off going down this track as they are pretty much physically ready to step up immediately if required.

X 2

Despite what Tippett & his father and his dopey manager think; he isn't worth $3.mil or whatever it is over 4 years. He shows glimpses but has no consistency of performance

On top of that he's proven with how treated his former team mates when he announced he was leaving he isn't a team player, he is a selfish individual
