Collingwang will miss, so will Essendong

Collingwool is a top 4-6 side and they've recruited well.

I agree with that and am waiting to get shot down  :blah

I would love to agree with gerks,
But knowing the scum things will come together for them, having majority mcg games helps too.
I'd love it even more if they spent a decade on the bottom of the ladder, but then again I'd love to see a replay of 1980  :gotigers

x3, further to this, the Pies always recruit well, the proof is there, when was the last time they were out of the 8, even when they are injury plauged they always seem to find coverage and win games. They would have one of the best recruitment stategies in the business.

Actually agree with you here WAT. Biggest theing they had in their favour though was the resources to do it. By that i mean someone who just reviewed other clubs lists and studied who was coming out of contract etc rather than just throwing the resources at looking at kids. A really good example is Jolly IMHO, they targetted him knowing he wanted to come back to Melb and they got him

I think it is an area we've addressed since Hartley's been with us, and we are seeing the rewards of it with the recruitment of Houli, Grigg and now Chaplin, Knights etc

Yes we have recruited very well over the past 2-3 years, lets hope we continue this process.

If you can't recognise the excellent job that the Pies have done recruiting then it shows how little you know, whether you like them or not, take the blinkers off!! :wallywink

Geez, it's their overall recruiting, the picks they end up with, what they do with them, the youth they pick up that turn into excellent players, the whole recruitment package...FFS ::)
