I have umpired on both grounds and they are great surfaces, but the Wang Magpies facilities are a bit better.

These pictures of both grounds are at least 3 years old so both grounds would have changed a fair bit in that time id say. Probably alot better now than the story these pictures tell.

Essendon are taking virtually a full strength squad up to Wangaratta. Only Zaharakis and Melksham won't play.

I've heard Chaplin may play his first game in Tiger colours this weekend too.

There's 3000 tickets left ....

---------------------------------------

By yesterday, the twilight game had sold 8000 tickets, 3000 below its capacity.

Both Richmond and Essendon will train at Norm Minns Oval on Friday.

Singer Shannon Noll will perform on the ground after the match.

With limited parking, the council is urging fans to travel by bus.

Park and ride services will run from noon until 5pm and will resume at the final siren until 9.30pm.

Gates open at noon, with the Bushrangers to play an intraclub curtain-raiser at 2pm.
