He was definately left in a position where he had to either hold or move up to another opponent a few times tonight. When they broke our zone, which held pretty well tonight, Griff seemed to be the one whose opponent benefitted.

Needs to play 16 games + this year otherwise this kid will be an unfullfilled talent.

Reality is the kids bod needs to hold. Has loads of courage and is great by foot. Important to our structure.

I have no idea why he isn't used more often.  He's one of our best kicks at the club and he rarely kicks the thing more than 5 times a game.

Agreed Danog..if you are going to play griff in the back half ,then use the one tool he has that just about nobody else has...his kicking.
Maybe not use it all the time as you have to mix things up,but every so often why wouldnt you let him launch into a kick that can almost clear half the ground.

Agree. He is a good kick and a strong mark. Glad he has built up over summer. This year is a real chance to cement a spot in side

Twice Ryder got goals because Griff was covering someone elses man. One Griff lost concentration which was his fault.

I dont have a problem with players leaving their man to cover someone else (besides the fact that it is even necessary). Its a team oriented thing to do as the selfish thing would be to stay put so your direct opponent doesn't score

I feel Griffss is being harshly judged. He was born 91 and is ruckman size. He is going to take time.

Anything this season is really a bonus.

Had a quiet game.  Had no one to man up on that was a match for him. Batch took Crameri, Astbury took Hurley, the rest were midgets.  He is down back for the big guys.
