Apprenticeship is over for this dude and Astbury at the end of 2013. No, that doesn't mean they should be murdered if they have a bad game but it's about time we started expecting these blokes to at least show they're too good for VFL level. Astbury wears a nappy to bed because of Dean Galea

You think they should only be expected to dominate VFL in their 5th season at the very earliest?

I just feel that with 200 cm blokes, you have to give them a bit longer to mature. Especially ones that are mobile, good below their knees and can roost the ball 80m. Those blokes don't grow on trees.I think that Griff is also still adjusting to playing as a defender. He played all of his junior career as a forward and his first two injury interrupted years as a forward too!
