So, Pet's, the big O, .......who deserves to be elevated and why?

99% sure we have 2 list spots to promote if we choose. If we had to choose I'd take Petterd because I think he's pretty close to best 22.

Petterd should be upgraded first. His performace has been more consistent.

reckon both will be

Have to say was very impressed with the Big O yesterday, did a good job in the middle and around the ground.

Bombers got back into the game when we threw Vickery into the centre square, we were winning easily when the Big O was there

I was impressed on how hard he was hitting packs late in the game rucking virtually alone on a hot day. He was impacting the contest and took a great mark in the last quarter.

Agree on both big O and Petterd. Definitely Petterd though, has seamlessly fitted into the side.

Just something small on Petterd. I often don't realise just how many blokes my old man knows, always knows someone here, someone else there etc, but I was chatting to him this morning and he was saying that he used to drink a bit on the Gold Coast with Ricky's dad since Ricky's mum was really good friends with my dad's late missus. He was telling me that after Ricky's first or second season at Melbourne, Ricky said (to his dad) it was really hard at Melbourne because since they were so poo, they were under so much pressure and even making the smallest mistake during a game would play on their minds and stick in the back of their heads for sometimes entire games.

So hopefully if we're an improved enough side, Ricky can play more naturally and we'll be able to get more of his potential out of him.

Also highlights the importance of nurturing a winning culture at a club.  Regardless of the tanking investigation, just having that attitude around the club would have had a cancerous affect on players and officials alike.  Glad we never chose that path because our culture is being rebuilt from the bottom up and that will give us the best chance of sustained impact/success.

I don't think theres a rush to elevate O, if Maric gets injured then we can put O on the senior list isn't that right? Which would be the only time he gets a game.

LTI has been changed to a minimum of 5 weeks I think. Meaning if Maric went down for anything serious then Stephenson can come in, but we wouldn't be able to select him if Maric needs a week off to rest or manage a niggle or something.

True I didn't think of a niggle type injury, or even a rest against GWS or Port. Can you "bank" a rookie promotion or does the 2 we get have to be used?

I thought there was only one spot up for grabs?

Unsure WAT. Can someone clear it up?

Originally I was under the impression that since we had 38 and 6 we were able to put up 2. But I read the other day about one now and one after round 12, sort of like the previous system. I think I read that on BigFoolery so wouldn't trust it too much lol. If we can't promote two then it's kind of silly we didn't take one of them in the PSD.

If Jarrad Oakley Nicholls was still around we could have stuck him on the LTIL and have both the Big O and Petterd on the list  ;D

They both deserve it, but we have 20 Petterds on the list but only one decent ruck. Thats why i think Big O will the nod.

If maric is fit where does 0 fit in?

Pettard seems to have nailed a spot. Needs to show.something in the real stuff but seems to have the tools. Can't see 0 getting a game given the way football is going.

Maric. Vickery (#2). Griffiths. ARance. Chaplin. Grimes/astbury is alot of height. Need as many miss rotation as you can get. Not back up rucks.
