Anyone who wouldn't prefer Watts is off their rocker. Kid will be fine and he wouldn't have this pressure on him if it wasn't for being pick #1. He has more of a chance of becoming something than Chaplin does

Watts is improving. May make a decent HB yet but he's not the great white hope key forward they were looking for when he was drafted.

And to think the Dees could have had big Nic Nat  ;D

Can you imagine how Nic Nat would have turned out with Melbourne's player development skills  :o
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

still would have been athletic. Just wouldn't be so overrated if he was a dees no1 pick.  :whistle

I know you love to play favorites Coachy boy, but I wouldnt have thought that Jack Watts would be one of them.
Personally, I would waayyy prefer Chaps and i think he has already become 'something,' unlike Watts. I get the feeling you're dirty on Chaps for ditching your grandson Shulzy at Poot.

:fishing

Jack is lazy and doesn't push himself like a player of his talent should. He may need a fresh start. Would happily have him here. But stuff he might be another Tambling in 2 years so who really knows.
Chaps is something alright. Suuurrrrrrrrggggggeeeeeeee....I would have ditched Port too if I knew the new coaches were already lining up a young bloke from GWS to take my role ;D

In fairness to Coach I'd take Watts over Chappy for fantasy football too. Racking up 30+ cheap uncontested possessions is good for fantasy footy. Go get em Jacqueline.  :clapping

Yeah Watts plays arguably the easiest spot in the game, LMID(sweeper) at half back.
He'll only earn respect when he's playing as the KPP he was drafted for.
It may happen yet though, I wouldn't completely write that off from happening.
Has the skills if he can discover the heart. Could come with maturity..
We've got Ben Griffiths in that same basket atm.
2015.

Pretty much. Needs to build them linguine arms up. Griffiths needs to learn how to get some cheap possies like Watts. We'd get to see 80m passes each time as he racks up 30 possies.  :clapping

Griffiths and Watts should not be compared. Ben has done more on the operating table than Watts has done for Casey. :help
