Bengal hope this time round Grimesy never misses another game .

Me to.. i would be happy for him to have another week in the magoos but if he's ready lets get him in..  Its good for us to be in a position to be able to drop players and bring in others to match up with the opposition

Two Tiger changes

By richmondfc.com.au6:16pm AEDT Thursday, April 4, 2013

Young gun defender, Dylan Grimes, will play his first game for Richmond in more than nine months, when he lines up against St Kilda in Friday night’s encounter at the MCG.

Grimes, who has overcome significant hamstring trouble, has been recalled to the line-up, in one of two changes the Tigers have made for the Round 2 clash.

Former Melbourne utility Ricky Petterd will make his debut for Richmond, after missing the opening round victory over Carlton with a groin injury.

They replace Ben Griffiths and Robin Nahas, who have both been omitted.

That weirdo is lucky he can play otherwise parents would complain every time he made eye contact with a child.

I like the balance of the side this week especially with the Grimes inclusion and Petterd for Nahas.
Just straightens us up abit and will help to stretch them at both ends of the ground.

Petterd can play forward and back and can free up a Newman to play forward of the centre where he can use his disposal. Ellis may be the sub. Played the role beautifully in the practice match against Essendon and was a real contributing factor to us overrunning them that day. With the Aints underdone and having played in the humidity on Sat night wth us having two days extra to recover they may tire quicker and some fresh legs ie Ellis will be just the type of thing that we can overrun them in the second half on a big ground and one they seldom play on. :thumbsup

My only query on the changes is that we are taking out one tall defender and one small forward/midfielder and replacing them with a tall defender and a tall/mid-sized defender. Are we going too tall? Can Petterd play on a one of their small dangerous forwards?

Can't have them all on the ground at the same time.
I reckon Milera is the dark horse.
We have Batch, Morris, Petterd they can't all have an impact.
Milne kicked 1 and Saad 2 last year with Milera a few also.
Key is midfield pressure. We can maintain pressure for the whole game as we did last week for 3 quarters last week, we'll be fine.
Other than the last quarter last week Yarran, Betts and Garlett have little impact on the game. I expect the same tomorrow and they can't all be on the ground at the same time. :yep

I remember Saad looking dangerous everytime he got near the ball last year, cant recall if he missed a few sitters but was regularly getting into dangerous positions stretching us all night. Has serious speed. Anyhow, like you said, if the midfield do their job and the fwds finish off their chances then it wont matter. Hope we smash them - for me big danger game only bc in the past these are the exact types of games we would drop. Just got to keep reminding myself its a new richmond now.
