Just saw AFL 360. Daniel Cross plays his 200th game this week against us.

Need to make sure we are focused for this one. Can't let these lowly sides with players having milestone matches put a fork in our road.

Well apparently we are a very ordinary side and the Dogs should win. Carlton are a top 4-8 side and should have won that game but have played two good games. The Saints also should have beat us, if Maister had have taken a mark in the last five minutes with his hands instead of his face they would have won. The Dogs have meanwhile only played 15 minutes of poor footy in two games. Richmond have been ordinary and should be 0-2.

Butt hurt much?

Mr Maclure doesn't rate Richmond and doesn't need to. He is right with our previous two matches. If we are switched on and "bully" the Bulldogs contestedly, we should win comfortably. If we are second to the football, they will run us around and we will struggle.

I'm happy for us to fly under the radar.

So am I.  Still doesn't alter the fact that Maclure is a brooding twit.

Speaking of which, there is no reason for us to go out there and put in an almighty performance. All the pressure has been averted to melbourne and essendon this week and a lil bit to collingwood. Just fly under the radar and get the effin job done.
I want to be 3-0 going into collingwood game as they are coming off against hawks and have a 4-5 day break before anzac day. get it done tigers this is an opportunity  :thumbsup

We still have always been a slow starting side anyway.
To get two wins with a cold motor is very good for us.

Match Preview: Tigers v Bulldogs
By Jennifer Phelan
April 12, 2013

SUMMARY: The Tigers head into this clash with wins over Carlton and St Kilda, which have come despite not playing their best football. They are placed sixth on the ladder and have almost no injuries with players pushing for selection in the VFL. The Bulldogs startled the Brisbane Lions – and the competition – with a round one victory but failed to upset Fremantle on Saturday at Etihad Stadium.

LAST FIVE TIMES
Rd 20, 2012, Richmond 22.18 (150) d Western Bulldogs 12.8 (80) at the MCG
Rd 8, 2011, Western Bulldogs 23.15 (153) d Richmond 18.10 (118) at Etihad Stadium
Rd 2, 2010, Western Bulldogs 17.18 (120) d Richmond 7.6 (48) at the MCG
Rd 11, 2009, Western Bulldogs 24.13 (157) d Richmond 14.5 (89) at Etihad Stadium
Rd 3, 2009, Western Bulldogs 16.14 (110) d Richmond 8.15 (63) at Etihad Stadium

THE SIX POINTS
1. The Tigers will be attempting to win their first three games of a season for the first time since 1995, the year they reached a preliminary final against Geelong.

2. Richmond thrashed the Western Bulldogs the last time the sides met; winning by 70 points in round 20, 2012 at the MCG. It was the Tigers' biggest win over the Dogs since late in 1980. Jack Riewoldt booted five goals and Trent Cotchin collected three Brownlow votes with 35 possessions and three goals.

3. The Tigers dominated the Bulldogs all over the ground, winning the total possession count 394-32 with 127 marks to 81. That win was the Tigers' first over the Bulldogs since round 3, 2005. The Dogs have won eight of the past 10 contests.

4. Etihad Stadium is not a Tiger friendly venue. Richmond has lost seven of its past 10 games there, although the Bulldogs hold just a slight advantage in a head to head sense. The Dogs have won five times and the Tigers four – with one draw – in the 10 times they've met at the ground.

5. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs haven't performed at Docklands that well in recent times either. They've won just three games at the venue since the start of last season from a total of 15 starts.

6. This will be the 148th clash between the sides and Richmond holds the advantage with 76 wins to 69, and two draws.

Dogs keen to apply lessons to Tiger task

The Western Bulldogs are taking heart from a tight pre-season clash with Richmond as they seek to dent the Tigers' strong start to the season on Sunday.

Richmond is heavy favourite to beat the Dogs at Etihad Stadium and make it three wins in succession to open its season. That would be the Tigers' best start since 1995.

But the Bulldogs, who thrashed the Brisbane Lions in the opening round, have been buoyed by their own early-season form.

While they fell 28 points short of Fremantle last round, Dogs assistant coach Shannon Grant said it was a decent performance given the strength of the Dockers.

''For a young team to be able to come up against such a strong side and put in a pretty strong effort, I thought it was a good result; it gives us some confidence,'' Grant said.

In their match during the pre-season, the Bulldogs led by as much as 18 points midway through the third quarter. Richmond, fuelled by players such as Brett Deledio, finished fast to win by nine points.

''That game gave the boys a lot of confidence,'' Grant said. ''We played pretty well that day.

''They ran away from us in the last quarter but the boys were pretty solid for most of the day.

''We can learn from lessons from that and take some things out of what worked well for us.''

One factor that helped the Bulldogs was the blanketing job performed by recruit Nick Lower on Tigers star Trent Cotchin.

Lower has since opened the season with successful topping roles on Brisbane's Daniel Rich and Fremantle's David Mundy.

Grant said Lower would spend time on Cotchin again on Sunday but he would also spend time on Brett Deledio and Dustin Martin among others in the Tigers' strong midfield line-up.

Grant said the Bulldogs were also building strong midfield depth, with clearance specialist Tom Liberatore one of a group of young, emerging players making good progress.

Jordan Roughead, who has performed well on Lions co-captain Jonathan Brown and Fremantle skipper Matthew Pavlich in the opening two rounds, is likely to get the job on in-form Richmond Coleman medallist Jack Riewoldt.

Must win game, just thinking about it, this is probably one of the most pivotal games of our season! People are waiting and wanting us to fail, we must rove them wrong!

Yep. Must win and start to win well.

I can't stand this pennyless club getting all excited because they beat Lions in Melb.

RFC must put them to the sword and win by plenty.

Not sure how we will go without lids and cotch, I still have reservations over Knights and while I rate vlastuin he is still too raw to cover the big two outs we have
