Any changes for next week?

Batch is apparently available after missing yesterday with an ankle.

Reckon there will be no change is all are fit especially in light of how abysmal the blokes at Coburg were  :P

Though you'd be tempted to send Ellis back seeing he's been sub 2 weeks in a row and yesterday he had very little impact when he came on

So based on that

INS: Batchelor

OUTS: Ellis

Out Ellis, in Val.

As others have said, Ellis will need a full game at Coburg to keep his match fitness up as you can't be left a sub week in week out. Batch in for him.

Do we play vlas when he hasn't played the previous week. Football for anyone?

#07Dea should play if there is a spot.

Agree but believe they will probably retain Ellis due to amount of small forwards Collingwood plays.

RICHMOND - In the Mix

Jake Batchelor was a late withdrawal after developing calf soreness early last week but his omission on game day had more to do with a lack of tall match ups against the Bulldogs. Chris Knights came in for his first Richmond game and had 15 disposals and kicked a goal before being subbed at three-quarter time. Nick Vlastuin didn't play VFL as he was held over as an AFL emergency but Robin Nahas did and was Coburg's best in its 100-point loss to Williamstown. David Astbury played his first game after a foot issue but hyperextended his knee. He was able to come back on and had 14 disposals for the game.

Herald-Sun's Footy Barometer round 4
April 17, 2013

RICHMOND

INJURIES
Nathan Foley (Achilles) test

ON THE BLOCK: Hear that? It’s tumbleweeds blowing through the “on the block” section. The Tigers are up and about and every player is pulling his weight. The one exception might be Brandon Ellis, who only took the sub’s vest off halfway through the last quarter against the Dogs. After starting as the sub two weeks in a row, he might be given a run in the VFL. Jake Batchelor was a late withdrawal yesterday but only for team balance.

ON THE CUSP: Coburg suffered a 100-point defeat in the VFL with Robin Nahas the standout with 27 disposals. Nick Vlastuin was at Etihad Stadium as an emergency for the senior team and didn’t play. David Astbury returned but suffered another leg scare, although early indications are he'll be OK to line up for Coburg again this week. Nathan Foley is set to return from a long-term Achilles problem next week.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: After knocking off a couple of other mid-range sides and demolishing the Bulldogs, but the next three weeks will tell us if Richmond has really arrived: Collingwood (MCG), Fremantle (Patersons Stadium), Geelong (MCG). The last time Richmond defeated Collingwood the goalkickers included Graham Polak, Kayne Pettifer and Greg Tivendale. Can’t wait to see Cotchin, Deledio and Martin go head-to-head with Pendlebury, Swan and Thomas. Get there early.

Yep, Ellis out to stretch his legs and Batch back in.
Knights should keep his spot.
