From midway through the 2nd qtr when the momentum of the game changed it was all Box Hill. They controlled the general play and put Coburg continually under pressure resulting in turnovers as we ran out of ideas and any system we had totally broke down.

Big O would probably be Coburg's best (according to the commentators) followed by A.Edwards who kicked 5 goals. Foley was lively in the 2nd half. Lonergan was good in the first half he played. Dea solid and Darrou was composed down back according to the commentators.

Pretty much game over unless the breeze drops.

Box Hill had no problem scoring against the breeze so not sure why it's pretty much game over, don't be a flog
Coburg applied no pressure that's why Box Hill scored so many goals into the breeze. Coburg is continually under pressure on the other hand. It's been all Box Hill in general play since qtr time.

So the breeze will have nothing to do with it. Cheers for agreeing with me.
You said I was a "flog" for saying the game was over at 3/4 time. Scoreboard would say otherwise and I was right  ;). Coburg hasn't kicked a goal into the breeze in this last qtr. Long kicks continually getting held up and Coburg being forced wide.

Goal to BH btw. 95 - 123

No I said don't be a flog for using the breeze as an excuse. Had nothing to do with why coburg were behind nor why they wouldn't get back into the game.
I wasn't using the breeze as an excuse. I was simply stating that if we've wasted the strong breeze in the 3rd (which we did both offensively missing goals and defensively gifting goals through mostly undisciplined and unaccountable play) and the opposition then have this strong breeze in the last when they are already in front on the scoreboard then it's game over - which it proved out to be. If Coburg's gameplan is kicking long to tall marking forwards and kicking into the breeze prevents that from working then of course the breeze affected the game. The number of scoring shots for both sides showed it was easier with breeze anyway. Box Hill kicked 10.14 with the breeze to 8.1 without it while Coburg kicked 10.11 with the breeze to 3.6 without it. To say the breeze had no influence on the game is ludicrous.

great effort by Matty Dea flying home on the red-eye last night with the team, getting into Melb around 5am and playing for Coburg today and being named in the best

I've spent the whole day doing this  :sleep    ;D

It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

When are we going to play Ben Darrou. Might not have the body but is a seriously good footballer!
Hasn't been beaten this year!

I noticed Foley named in the best.
Is it too early to bring him in as a sub?
Someone that could make a serious impact when coming on.

They could give him a half or a quarter against the cats.
Maybe sub him off the week after.
The club that keeps giving.

Would be a better sub than Nahas!

Why a sub, if he's ready to go he plays the whole game..

Won't be soon

He's a rookie and not a promoted one so he can't play in the AFL

He is slowly earning a promotion with any long term injury!
