If Chaplin has a calf strain he'd be doubtful for next week

ONly changes I'd make at the minute is Nahas out for Tuck and Morris for Batchelor. Need a bigger body in the middle

I thought chappy had a week off after being ko d ....knew nothing of a calf strain ::)

HUN listed him out with a calf

Heard she was old enough to be called a cow

people persist in Jacko to be dropped, wasting their time typing
his name in their lists of outs.

wont happen.

where was he in the last 2 minutes last night. wasnt he on Ballantyne? where the stuff was Jackson?

He was too busy shutting down Mundy (and Fyfe when he went on to him at times). The guy is a gumby and I was fuming when he tried to centre a ball from half forward flank to centre half forward 10 secs before 1/2 time, turned it over of course  ::) and freo swept it fwd and kicked a point, but he did a good defensive job last night on class movers

That turnover was 3/4 time Tony when Walters missed after the siren. :thumbsup

that kick was the right option, for someone that can kick to where they want it to go.
he had a man loose and if he hits his target its a shot on goal.
as it is he misses by long way and they have two men caught out of position who can then make us pay for the crapola kick

Unfortunately for a smart bloke jacko still doesn't grasp the simple saying - play within your limitations
yeah, but if did that he would just turn up to train with coburg

it wasnt a difficult kick
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

A. Edwards would have to get a game this week after another 5 at Coburg. Really missed someone across half forward last night.

Outs- Helbig, White, Nahas, Batchelor, Ellis (Ellis was very good last night, but still prefer Tuck in.. Nothing wrong with making these kids really work for a game. And against Geelong we need big bodies)

Ins- Edwards, Chaplin, King, Morris, Tuck

Axel's not far away and also think Dea won't be far away from getting a game too.
Grigg and Houli will need to be good in the next couple of weeks if they are to retain there spots.

Drop Ellis? you have got to be joking, what sort of MSG does that send?

Batchelor should remain in, is a better mid size than petterd.

Out - helbig, Nahas, petterd, white
In - Morris, King, Chaplin, Tuck
Before you hand Ellis a Brownlow medal for one decent game, try not to forget the previous four weeks when he was putrid. . The message that it's sends is you are not in our best 22 IMO.

Good one, Whose talking brownlows? He was one of our best, you don't drop a player the week after being in your best handful of players, you just don't. Could've been dropped in previous weeks not now.

Fair enough but how many games does he get for that good game last night? If he stinks again against Geelong, can he be dropped then?
Most think it's a bit tough bagging a second year player but if he drops simple chest marks or IMO really looks scared out there, I don't care how many games he has played. Simple skills errors and soft efforts shouldnt be tolerated by our club ever.
Like I have said before about him, I really want him to come good and I don't take pleasure in bagging him, just really hate seeing what I have seen to date. Last night was a much different Brandon Ellis.  :thumbsup

All good bt, no doubt he'd want to back it up next week, with Foley, Conca and Tuck not far off, all our runners would want to be switched on week in week out.

id play anyone who can help us with delivery and decision making .
less panic merchants and poor kicks.  more footy smarts and good skills.  the question is do we have those type of replacements. i dont really think so.
we need to address the structure down back  they definately need another tall. and they need a shut down sml/med morris i suppose.
we need to address the way the forward line operates. no smalls the talls struggling and the lack of movement

people want helbig dropped after just one game.
i can understand it but i dont agree. yes he struggled and even looked out of his depth at times but lets give him a decent go at it give him another week or two lets see if he can adapt and get involved more.
do we hang draw and quarter every player who has a bad game or is it just the young ones we do it to.

imo against the big bodies of geelong we need big bodies. tuck, to return chaplin  down back. king as a sml forward and the presure he at least applies.
morris as a shut down med defender all four are a must imo.

Actually liked White's game, stood up when someone needed to and nearly won it back for us off of his own boot.
