Last night for me was a realisation of what a dumb football club we are..The poor decision, making  endless turnovers just kept highlighting our dumbness.
Jackos butchering of the ball
griggs inability to run and work hard
Lidds inability to break a tag
pettards woefull kicking
jacks unwillingness to offer leads ,but rather trying to take pack marks.For crying out loud every full forward since moses was a child offers leads
bacha (although I think he has been playing well of late) he continues to go to ground way too easily and thus renders him out of the contest.
Last night geelong put on a clinic on how to pass a football.They outsmarted us in every facet of the game.We the supporters bemoan the fact that other football teams spend minimal time in the doldrums before re grouping and re structuring ,and coming back....We the supporters have every right to expect more from this team for we have dug deep for a long time now...COME ON RFC YOU OWE US

Didnt want to post last night when I got home because I was so angry.

Not because we lost but how we lost

We showed nothing in the last qtr. absolutely nothing. Going got tough and we went back to being shell shocked school kids.

The moment Maric hobbled off we were goneskis IMHO (thought tap work wise it was his best game last night against good opposition) and then to be followed by Vickery so quickly ... 

But after that point it was about character.

Only character we got shown in the last was mental fragility and in the case of some not giving a stuff because it had all got to hard!

Again we were failed by our leaders and senior players (hang your head Chris Newman). All of them bar Maric who showed incredible courage to keep playing when he clearly shouldn't of

Just so bitterly disappointing, after all the little steps forward we took a big one back last night!

need more players with class and determination. Vlastuin can hold his head up coz hes a kid and he busted his guts yesterday for the cause. anyway things are not so rosy, the recruiting of the likes of Grigg and Houli is not the panacea that some supporters made out, even last year I tried to make this point but was howeled down. These players are average players, they are not taking us anywhere. The club needs to get some superstars otherwise we are going nowhere.

Puzzles me why we didn't go after someone like Brent Maloney.Did we think our midfield was that good?

-Petterd, did some ok things in the 2nd half, but overrall he is a liability, gives away dumb frees, cant kick, I counted 3 times him going up uncontested and choosing to fist instead of take the mark(ie no confidence!). Batch and Dea to be given a run at it, this guys not up to it.

Just on Petterd and his supposed poor disposal. He had 16 possessions up until 3qtr time at 100% effectiveness. He basically didnt play in the final qtr as he was injured

stats also say he had 4 clangers which is the same number of clangers as Cotchin, Edwards, Houli and one less than Deledio, Newman and McGuane

His first half was very good and he was one of our better defenders IMHO.

As for the punching instead of marking down back there was a few guilty of that and Grimes was the other way in the 3rd when he should have punched tried to mark and cost us a goal

I don't care what the stats say will, the bloke can't kick. He had 2 goal assists and both were fricken helicopter mongrels that somehow someone got on the end of. But hey they're goal assists. He is a deer in headlights, bad decision maker and whilst Cotch lids etc had have bad nights they have credits in the bank and can be excused.
Added to that each match he's dropped a couple of sitters bc he's basically panicked. Grimes stuffed up by not punching in that instance but that was one bad decision, petterd did it 3 times and is basically par for the course in every game he's played. Not sure why the love, this guy is no good under pressure

I'd take him over Jackson anyway of the week to be honest with you  and I just don't think he's been that bad. Yep he has made mistakes but others have too

Our "mental fragility" has always been part of our downfall, this is nothing new, it has never been rectified...that's the problem.
