Jack and McGuane - best tall forward combo in the AFL!
« on: May 02, 2013, 01:37:42 PM »
Jack and McGuane and the best tall forward combo in the AFL at the minute  :o:

Jack Riewoldt (16 goals) and Luke McGuane (11 goals)  =  27 goals
Lance Franklin (15) and Jarrad Roughead (11)                = 26 goals
Josh Kennedy (16) and Jack Darling (10)                          = 26 goals

Add Vickery and that's 36 goals between our talls forwards this year.

Happens to most teams when they have 1 gun forward. The 2nd tags along for the ride and their the best or one of the best tall forward combos based off the gun forwards stats.  :shh

The Dawks will need a replacement for Buddy at years end...  :shh

McGuane has just crashed through 2nd round pick territory, another few bags of goals and he'll fetch us the Hawks 1st rounder and a player  :pray

McGuane has really stepped up this year and is leading and crashing the packs. I believe our hesitation to applaud his efforts this year has come from all the disappointing efforts he has had in the past as a defender. The biggest indicator that he is playing out of his skin for us at present is that A. Edwards can't get a spot in the team even after kicking 5+ goals most weeks for Coburg.
