What are you doing today?

Thought a snapshot of what OERites are doing today might be interesting.



And just to start things off my day...

As most of you know I am a teacher in the outer East of Melbourne.

Well today is Photo day and guess who is in charge.

I will be facilitating the taking of 70 group photographs and approx. 1350 individual photographs over the course of the day.

And saying :) a lot.

I'm shopping for some appropriate clothing and doing some personal admin things in preparation for moving to Darwin next week.  We decided to change things up a bit so the missus and I are off to greener pastures for a while, to spend some more time with 2 of our sons and especially our grandson who has lived there all his 7 years of life.  I'm sorry to be leaving Queensland but not sorry to be leaving the Gold Coast - I hate the falseness of it - and the rest of our kids/grankids have all moved away now anyway (Perth and Tin Can Bay) so there is no cord left to cut.  I fly out on Tuesday and when I've got work and a house organized then she'll quit her job here and move up.  Exciting times - I've been wanting to make this move for a long time!   :dancing

you'll have to come down and have a run with the old mans footy. the national carnival is up here this year.


Today is a recovery day for me, doing as little as possible, despite the nagging from the missus.. its only a couple of months since the regular season finished, but im feeling it after the first games last night.

FWIW I'm still sitting in a lifeboat surrounded by a sea of tears from last weeks horrible loss to the Cats. Lets hope I find an accommodating "Port" to dock at this week.  ;D  :pray

I'm currently surviving on Glory day Icons such as Hutton's footy Franks, Yoo-Hoo, Four-n-Twenty Pies and White Crow sauce whilst I wait for the inevitable Scurvy to set in.

I think someone set it on fire, we're still figuring it all out. The shed is still in good nick. It's full of puff though so I can't sleep in there. Car is comfy

Killing dragons, raiding dungeons and levelling my blacksmithing.

But in IRL I'm rewinding electric motors. Not much manufacturing going in at the moment so it's slow. All I've done today is downrate an 18kw 6pole and changed a crappy little single phase from 120v/60hz to 240v/50hz for some nuffy that bought a boat from the States and didn't realise our supplies are different.

Coach I think you may need to look at outsourcing....But there is still hope for you yet. I think Carl Williams started off sleeping in the back of his car and look at where he is now!!

Get home at 12am-ish from work and straight to bed for a 630am rise. Up and off to uni for an 830 start and finish around 5 (few hours worth of breaks) then straight home to get changed and then to work! 12am-ish I'm home again and should be asleep for footy tomorrow  :thumbsup
Fair to say I'm probably the only human being to hate Fridays
