"In some ways, the Tigers were lucky" - Robbo
« on: May 20, 2013, 04:04:23 AM »
From Mark Robinson's 'the tackle' column in today's Herald-Sun ....

The Demons led at quarter-time by two points, trailed by seven at the half, blew the third quarter because of a lack of class and poise in the forward 50m, and fought to the end in the final quarter.

They killed themselves in the third term.

In a run of play of about 12 minutes, Max Gawn missed from close, Davey missed, Rohan Bail goaled, Jamar kicked out on the full and a James Frawley shot was marked in the square.

The Tigers then goaled because Davey didn't chase Richmond's emerging star Nick Vlastuin and then Jake King kicked another.

Jeremy Howe responded, Dawe missed from 45m, and Jack Riewoldt nailed one on the siren.

The difference at the last break was 22. It should've been two. In some ways, the Tigers were lucky.

Essendon were also lucky to beat the Dees last year.

We played crap yesterday but Robbo has conveniently ignored that we kicked 4 straight behinds to start that 3rd qtr. It should have been game over on the scoreboard after 5 mins into that term.

Never ever were we going to lose that game, MT it was also 15 inside 50s to 6 at qtr time with several get table shots - we should've been 2-3 goals up at qtr time.

Should have been over by half time but for our kicking.

Hey Robbo you knobnuts, the difference at quarter time was 2 points and should have been 42 Richmond's way if you apply the same science you used for the 3rd quarter.  In all ways the Dees (including their extended bench) were lucky to stay as close as they did all day.

Bizarre from Robbo. You look at our 16 points for the game compared with Melbourne's 6 and then you conclude we were lucky Melbourne kicked badly.  :huh

Lol at Blobbo using Melbourne's missed shots as reasoning. They kicked goals out of their pooper all day and hardly missed. Meanwhile we kicked worse than the Auskick kids for goal.

Robbo is on SEN, at the moment and will discuss the Dees and most likely our game after the break. Be interesting to see if he elaborates on his comments about us..

"Shrug shoulders"

Really don't care what Robbo thinks, we won, we bank 4 points, we are in the 8 and we have Dreamtime to look forward too

Care factor about Robbo's article = 0
