Hopefully they do us a favor and dish out all our secrets on how to draft 2nd and 3rd and 4th round national draft picks and hopefully every other club copies us and stuff themselves up completely  :lol

I hope they ask him about all his choices beyond the first round.
Especially 2009 why he thought Griffiths was a better choice than Fyfe and why he believes Griffiths isn't getting a game ahead of Mcguane and a spent hack VFL star in "lockup" Edwards?

Seriously he needs to go. He's so not up to the level of most club recruiters. How are we supposed to improve if we can't pick a decent second round pick?

Don't think anyone can blame him for not taking Fyfe. We would have burnt Punt Rd down if we'd taken a 189cm FF who was completely under sized. It's been remarkable what that kids done. Webberley and Nason are the ones I query. A small Tassie player and a midget SANFL reserves player. 2010 was the bad one. Batchelor over Parker. Why? Helbig I like but has been injured. MacDonald. An undersized FF like I mentioned above. Why the stuff would you? Derickx is a dead set spud who would have been available as a rookie. Jonathan Giles was the obvious ruck to take that year and we went with the obscure like we did all that draft.

Then 2011 we take Arnot. Lacks skill, height and pace. Could have rookied him. 2012 I'm not sold on McIntosh. Very early days but I don't think he's a natural footballer.

Summary

* Wallace said at the top of the show he wished FJ arrived at Richmond a few years earlier. Nice backhander to Greg Miller.

* FJ said recruiting has significantly changed in his time. Only one full-time recruiter in 2006 with volunteers intertstate and no football manager. In 2006 half of the clubs had just one full-time recruiter; now they have six.

* Kreuzer or Cotchin if you had had pick 1? Deciding factor - influential midfielder can influence games more than a ruckman. Both fabulous long-term footballers.

* Vlastuin always in the frame? We already have priority players in mind for this upcoming draft (2013) we watch for that fit our model. We had 37 player reports on Floss. He had all the attributes we value highly.

* Bringing in mature players last year? Shift in philosophy. We felt best kids were gone and that we could bring in AFL players that could play a role. If they play to their best they could give us some experience and play a role. We didn't want to get to round 22 and have youngsters tiring and us falling away as a team.

* Kids coming through and who want to be drafted should focus on kicking, composure and poise. AFL clubs want players that can make those right decisions under pressure and not turn the ball over (by foot).

He's not up to it Richmond.
His not up to the standard required its obvious as his record.

Time to get someone who actually has a clue.

You must kidding BJ. Hilarious.  :lol

His history speaks for itself.
If you want your team to be better you don't compare it to the dogs, Melbourne and the saints.  :lol
You compare it with teams that consistently play finals and have had later picks than us but are recruiting better & developing that talent earlier.
Mentioning our first round picks was gold too.   :lol  :lol
The idea is to raise the bar higher. Expect better results. Excellence is achieved through hard work and a higher standard of achievement.
I don't think his history is any good beyond his first round picks.

I dont think you re being very objective MT ..who were our sec and third round picks last year, Mcbean and mcdonagh , both looking very good at this stage :shh..Arnot is looking the goods , should be playing seniors, astbury is killing it after coming back from injury.  Think your clutching at straws pal. No side gets every pick correct, we re getting our fair share right for a change

Especially 2009 why he thought Griffiths was a better choice than Fyfe and why he believes Griffiths isn't getting a game ahead of Mcguane and a spent hack VFL star in "lockup" Edwards?

Do you seriously believe he has an input why Griffiths isn't getting a game? He is the recruiting manager not chairman of selectors. Once they are drafted it isn't his job to play them

I have to say I find if funny, he is given by the list management team which he ISNT a member of an outline of what the clubs wants the recruiters to focus on, that is outside picks 1 where the clubs policy has been since Dimma been there that we take the best available player, the types of player the club wants. He finds those types, shows the list people the options and as a group they decide on which one to go with. Then on draft day he calls out the number and name

After that point it is up to the club's coaches especially those in development to bring these kids on, that and of course the kid has to willing to work hard. Instead of pointing the finger constantly at our recruiting I believe we should be blow torching our development program more than anything

"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

So do you believe it's DH fault WP?
After all, he chooses his assistant coaches/ development coaches.
