INS: Conca, Ellis

OUTS: Lonegran, Batchelor

Can't see that happening considering we play Batch as a tall.

They will want to bring in Conca & Ellis as soon as they are ready

Someone has to make way and I just think it would be out of Batchelor or Dea and I thought Dea was better against the Eagles that Batch

Agree WP.  I watched the replay again last night and focused on Batchelor to see if I was missing something others could see but I still have the same concerns about him - he is very very soft at the ball.  Some on here have a crack at Houli for not going hard enough - bugger me, have a close look at Batchelor!

Houli and grigg don't go hard enough.

Do you think Batchelor does?

Grigg is worse than Houli . . . and that is saying something.

Fair enough Bents.  To me he goes into a contest with a 'soft' body and hands, he doesn't attack the contest or the ball with any hardness and I reckon he spends a lot of time spectating on the fringe of the pack, not often at the bottom of it.  It's why I think he gets beaten in so many one on one contests because a bloke of his size should win much more of them imho. I'd be interested to hear you thoughts on it after having a closer look at some of his games.

Should be Grigg and Lonergan out replaced by Ellis and Conca respectively. Ellis plays wing now anyway we don't really use him at HB so both Batch and Dea can stay. Having said that they won't drop Grigg.

What I noticed with Batch on Monday night (and I haven't watched the replay yet, fell asleep last night watching it  :P) is that he seems to be 2nd guessing himself with regards to what to do. It's like he was hesitating in his decision making, like he was thinking "what if I make a mistake"

A couple of times he was caught "betwix & between". What I mean by that is a couple of times he needed to come away from his direct opponent to help out and he didn't, he actually stopped propped and then just simply dropped off (stopped moving)

I suppose that can create an impression of not going hard enough at the contest

He might do that at times but I haven't seen him pull out of a contest like the other two. Vickery is another who probably doesn't go hard enough often enough but he will usually at least make a contest.

I agree someone needs to make room. Just IMO you can't drop one of our "talls"

Fair call but you could make the case that Dea is only 2cm shorter than Batch (186cm to batch's 188cm) so he can play "tall" if needed

Reckon he might be better suited to it. I just wish we'd play an actual tall as 3rd tall
