Its not fair on the teams they beat illegally as well

But that was last year not this year

The investigation relates to 2012 not 2013

I understand people's angst, I really do but awarding points they've won to the teams they've beaten and then giving those who have actually beat the Bombers nothing isn't exactly fair. What happesn to teams %, are we going to alter that too?

Also, hypothetically say they do hand over the points and in doing so another team goes ahead of us on the ladder and it means we miss out on say top 4 (double chance) or a home final - not sure folks would be happy with that either

They are still reaping the rewards of last years juicing program and regardless, they should not be playing this year period, all their games and results should be wiped not just their wins (ie didn't happen, they are not part of season 2013), every single team should be on a level playing field where the injectors are concerned. Otherwise its not a level playing field. The teams that beat them have a win against a side that will be suspended from the competition retrospectively

I am not defending them, have been saying for ages they should be stripped of points, Jimmy Hird should be at the very least be banned from coaching and the players punished severely

But I'd argue that last years program didn't help them much in the 2nd half of last year. So I am not sure anyone can say categorically that they are reaping the benefits of their dodgy 2012 dealings in 2013. We simply don't know

That being the case do what do those teams that have beaten the bungling Bombers this year get if the AFL handover the 4 points to every team that's been beaten by the Bungling Bombers?

If we get 4 points for getting beaten what do Sydney & Geelong get for beating them? Another 4 points too or do they just get to bask in the knowledge that they beat them?

maybe not legal. (drug authority in sport)

WP -> would this effects continue to the following season  :huh

Was Robinson THE WEAPON / Hird trying to get many pre-season in one into the players? -

or perhaps this is an inaccurate line of thought and the bulk up effect were only for 2012 season with no intention of continuation in the following seasons, completely...

Lose of points 12-13-2014 ? :police:

A lot of questions.
Pretty sure they would be reaping the benefits of the drug this year too.

As i said above seriously how would any of us really know? We can speculate and hope but we don't know

missing the point wp, they cheated last year, whether they benefit from it or not is irrelevant(although imo they clearly are). If they cheated last year, then they should be banned from this season. Every game and result they have been involved in should be scrapped from the record book including percentage. That's the only way every side is on a level playing. The sides that beat them, good on them but tough luck in this case.

What's so hard for you to understand Bents?

Last year they were clearly on this dodgy program, 2nd half the year they had more injuries than I had omelettes so I think you could make an argument for to say their dodgy supplement program didn't help them much in the 2nd half of the season. All I said was an argument could be made, didnn't say I agreed or didn't just raised a point

And how would any of us know what benefit if any has this program from 12 months ago given them this year. We don't

Which bit isn't clear enough for you    :huh

We are actually saying the same thing with regard to the points tony. I agree with you that their results for this year should be stripped away. Points, %, draft picks, everything! Whack them with a $2mil fine, don't allow them to participate in the draft, FA or trade period. They must be punished heavily and in an unprecedented fashion.

What I am arguing against is giving their points (currently 40- 10 wins) to the sides they have beaten this year. That just isn't right nor is it right (and this is where we differ) to take away the 4 points away from those teams have legitimately beaten them.

suppose I am applying what the NRL did to Storm when they whacked them for salary cap rorting and think that is the fairest way to go considering we are more than half way into a season  :thumbsup

The question is did they cheat - not did the cheating work

My friend you could say they pumped themselves full of gear until they popped. Bodies broken down too much too soon...

The weapon shot hit load!

Or just bad luck those injuries?

Quote
sendon assistant coach Mark Thompson has finally conceded the club's high injury toll is "unacceptable" as the Bombers change a number of training methods to stem the bleeding.
The Bombers were belted by Hawthorn last Friday night with a host of key players, including Michael Hurley, Paddy Ryder and David Zaharakis, on the sidelines.

Round 14 - as at 00:00 AM, 30/06/13
It has been reported that Essendon, who have been touchy on the injury topic in 2012, have suffered 25 soft-tissue injuries this season.
The finger has been pointed at their manager of high performance Dean Robinson.
The man known as 'The Weapon' flogged the Bombers during a torturous pre-season campaign. [jab jab jab]
After a bright start, the Bombers are now reeling, having lost three of their past four matches by 71, 67 and 94 points.
Thompson, the former Geelong coach, was pushed on the matter on AFL 360 on Monday night.
"We're not happy with it," Thompson said.
"We knew there would be some pain. Unfortunately there's been too much pain."
The Bombers are likely to regain Hurley for this week's AAMI Stadium clash against Adelaide Crows.
Thompson said talented big man Ryder was the most important absentee of those not on the park at the moment.
He said the Bombers were starting to train later in the week and had adjusted their post-match recovery to ease the pain.
"You go through little problems throughout the year and at the end of the year you do a review," Thompson said.
"We've looked at ways we can do things better. We can change three or four things."
