Nah, it is obvious that he is talking about their new stand alone VFL side. They haven't made the finals since 1998.

I guess when you fail at reeling in big fish despite paying significant overs, sack all of your senior players in one fowl swoop, hire Brad "whingeing" Scott for 3 more years and start touting 35 year old Jarrrod Waites season as the best form of his life you might generate less hype than you'd want...

I see that Adam Cooney has come out and slammed the footy public in Tassie for not being dinkum because they didn't support this game.

I mean, seriously, this fixture was an absolute insult to Tassie fans.

Footy is clearly struggling down there. Why not give them a game like Richmond vs Hawthorn as a boost.

I have this little feeling that tonight's game could be the beginning of the end for North.

A completely standalone fixture on a public holiday Friday for most clubs would be a massive bonus.

But if North don't pull a crowd tonight, you just wonder what that says about where they are heading.
