I axctually have to IQ it as I dont' get home from Sydney until after 10pm tomorrow

Am I expecting too much to expect Ian Wilson to say sorry for he and Graeme Richmond bankrupting that Club in the early 1980's  :-\ :huh

From the snippets I've seen re his comments about Geoff Raines it would seem clearly I am

We were the biggest club in the land and those morons stuffed us up. We were bigger than Collingwood and Essedon and now we are only bigger than Carlton.

Thanks for nothing dudes.
Very very true.
1st club to reach 1million attendance figure(1980) in a time when you had to go to all the suburban grounds like the lakeside oval, princess park, windy hill, Arden street & junction oval.

The days when the dawks had a fag bag, pploofter cheersquad.
.....True story!
The club that keeps giving.

Just watched it, was interesting for someone not old enough to remember the lead up to the decline.

Thought the list of players not drafted was a cheap shot and without a lot of logic but overall was pretty interesting.

I'd also like to take this chance to apologise to Caroline Wilson. She never had a chance.

As bad as the recruiting wars with Collingwood were (and I remember it all first hand), I still believe the rot started in 1981 when we let Sheedy walk to Essendon. I mean look at the litany of sacked coaches we went through in his 27 year, 4 premiership reign at the Bummers. I know it would have been virtually impossible to ask Jewell to step down in 1980 after he'd just won us a flag by a then record margin. But considering TJ was gone the next year anyway after we failed to make the finals, maybe GR  could have employed some of his legendary ruthlessness and done the deed anyway. I guess the stars just didn't align for us.  :'(

Watched it last night

What an over hyped show it was

no hard hitting questions from Mike, just re-hashed what everyone knew. Perhaps because some club legends have now publicly said bad decisions were made, egos were out of control it gives it all a bit more cedibility. But for me it was a bit of a  :sleep fest. Perhaps it had of been 2 hours instead of 1 hour it would have had more impact

Nothing new, very soft questioning by Mike

Ian Wilson - still refusing to take responsibility for the mess he left the place in, not that he was actually asked about it  :banghead

Barry Richardson - spoke sense

KB - spoke alot of sense

Walls - spoke alot of sense, even if we don't like hearing it

Geoff Raines - confirmed what we knew - it was about money or more to the point Rioli getting paid double what he was. At least he was honest

David Cloke - terrible mullet  ;D didn't have the courage to say why he walked = money & Bourke being coach just waffled on about he wasn't happy with the way the club was going  ::)

Royce Hart - not even sure why they put some left over snippets from his "Open Mike" interview in there - didn't offer anything new

Tony Jewell - told us nothing new,

Danny Frawley - seriously did he actually answer the question Mike posed? he added nothing

Tommy Hafey - love Tommy but didn't really add anything, just agreed with Mike. And the much "hyped" bit about him not being happy with the questioning about Francis Bourke - massive non-event IMO.

Joel Bowden - spoke sense

Have I forgotten anyone  ;D

seriously rolls, on what basis would you even consider getting rid of a premiership coach and replacing them with an untried one, at the time.

Punt Rd would have been burned to the ground and those in charge probably committed.
