Yep, it was the worst made-up wrong decision by a video reviewer since the ARC did a number on Lynch in last year's EF. The VAR is often just as bad as the ARC although with better cameras.

Clearly, Diaz was on-side: https://twitter.com/Chaddymus_Prime/status/1708187031757631874

I didn't have a problem with the first red card. It wouldn't have been a red back in my day when playing :oldguy otherwise I would've got sent off a few times :snidegrin, but these days they are red hot on any raised studs into the shins even if the intention was to go for the ball.

The second red was a combo of a first yellow that should've been only a free kick (Spurs player tripped on the chasing feet of Jota) and then Jota being a moron and needlessly getting a second yellow only a minute after getting the first one.

Ange has got Spurs to the top of the EPL table for the time being. Arsenal play Man City later tonight (early Monday morning).

Gunners win despite blatant cheating
Kovacic staying on the pitch was a disgrace

Should have got a straight red IMO for the first tackle where he went studs up into the back of the leg instead of pointing the toe.

PGMOL chief Howard Webb admits Manchester City's Mateo Kovačić was "extremely fortunate" not to be sent off against Arsenal

Even if the first was yellow (I think it was red)

The second was DEFINITELY a yellow in its own right

Absolute joke

Corrupt pricks let Man City get away with cheating the system .. then this garbage on top

Can’t believe as a gooner I will say this , but detest City more than Spurs

Ange has Spurs top. Their best start to a season since they last won the league title in 1960-61. Not sure if they have the depth to stay top until May and win it, but you can't rule out any team managed by Ange.

-----

Ange Postecoglou has earned 23 points in his first nine Premier League games in charge of Tottenham (W7 D2), the most of any manager in their first nine games in the competition’s history. Impression.

They don’t. Not even close.
And I’m happy to rule them out

Harry Kane scored a goal from inside Bayern's defensive half against poor old Darmstadt. Darmstadt's goalkeeper had a horrid day as Bayern won 8-0.

Gunners now second in England only 2 points behind Spurs. Too bad the next north London derby isn't until late April.

With West Ham knocking Arsenal out, the League Cup is wide open with no Man City or Spurs either. Liverpool is the only top 4 club left in it.

Quarter finals
Liverpool vs West Ham
Chelsea vs Newcastle
Everton vs Fulham
Port Vale vs Middlesbrough

Arsenal was screwed over by VAR. Two-handed push in the back on Gabriel plus the ball was over the sideline in the lead up.

The goal Utd had chalked off was a joke too.

VAR is a disgrace. Soccer is much better off without it. Leave it at goal line technology and that’s it. The offside rule wasn’t brought in to penalise strikers for having their shoelace in an offside position and don’t get me started on the coin flip foul calls/reversals this stupid system has led to. Absolute kills the buzz in the stands and for home viewers not knowing whether they can truly celebrate a goal or not.

Man City's weekend.

Spurs' players the latest to learn the hard way that you can't go into tackles these days with studs up even if you get the ball. Either point your toes or say hello to an early shower.
