Anyone think Shane Tuck as sub is stupid  :banghead
Doesn't make sense to me either. I prefer a sub with pace (eg: Whitey) who can come on fresh in the second half and cause some damage when everyone else is tired. To me Tuck is sub because Dimma either doesn't think he can play 4 quarters or he thinks Tucky's lack of pace make him vulnerable when everyone is fresh at the start of the game.

I'm very nervous about today. It could get very ugly if we don't match them in the midfield. The Hawks are at full strength and in top form while we aren't. Also do we have the match-ups to hold all 4 Hawk tall forwards Buddy, Roughead, Hale and Gunston?  :-\.
hardwick said on the ABC before the game that once the rain set in tuck would be subbed on.
as it turned out it was a smart ploy.

Would like to see Tuck get more game time.

The young kids really impressed today - Vlastuin very hard at the ball, Ellis smooth and Conca great link-work.

Backline very solid. Add Grimes and we're set IMO.

Enjoy it lads I know I am and am watching the replay given I was ill and didn't attend today.

What I want which will be another thing we have not done for over a generation is put the foot down onto the throat of the opposition the following week after a win where we may have been up for and mentally switched on.

The Lions would think they are still an outside chance of finals and they would give themselves a chance. I would love our boys to not just think we have the big scalp and we are making finals but to as Dimma said in his presser
"we have no ceiling on this" and go out next week and play a similar type of uncompromising, fierce, high scoring yet defensive mindset footy and limit and stifle the opposition and not just fall over the line. We have a very good recent record against the Lions lets hope we can continue that.

We have learnt alot and shown so much positivity this year. Lets take the next step and follow up our great win today with a great win next week and consolidate all we have achieved in the last 3 weeks and approach our last block of four home and away games with the same attitude and fervour we have shown for long periods this season and cement our place in the eight and possibly even pinch a top 4 spot. :gotigers

I'd have thought you would have worked the meaning of that post. ;)

Biggest win of the year for mine, great job! Well done Tiges!
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

Just watched a torrent of the game and looked closely at the turning point in the 3rd quarter where we began to wrest control. Vlaustin and White, defended, spread and attacked in a 10 minute block that changed the game. Well done to both of them.
