Today shows how much we struggle v the flood.
Early in the third we kick 2 points and could have just killed the game and spared the drama.
Team actually looked tired. Noticed Ellis was really struggling chasing a Brissy player late in the game and he is one of our better runners.
Jack misses his first shot and he struggles for the rest of the day. Could have kicked four or five and dished a gimme off to McGuane.
Liked that Conca, Ellis, Morris, McGuane all chimed in with goals rather than our usual players would have been nice if they did but anyway. Cotch can't buy a goal this season. Anyway.
Glad we got the win and the monkey of our back, lets refocus and bury the cheats next week and end their season once and for all and show them why we are superior to them in every way. :thumbsup

Like watching a re run of an old movie.

Everytime we play Brisbane it's always the same old plot....we end up a mile in front , lose interest , lose focus , Brisbane threaten to make a comeback ....tigers pull their finger out and record an easy win.

Said to MT at halftime even though we were 7goals I didn't think we had played well, just looked flat.

2nd half was terrible, Brissie changed their game style, we isn't and it almost cost us
Yep our intensity was off from the first bounce. As WP said we looked as if we knew we were the better side and we were just going through the motions. It worked in the first half as we stuck to the coaches' instructions for the game while Brisbane were deplorable and played into our hands. In the second half, Brisbane lifted in the centre  thanks to Daniel Rich as well as going one-on-one across the ground; while our midfield run stopped. So we ended up continually trying to switch from side to side coming out of defence but as there was no run in the midfield, Brisbane were able to slide across and block off the exit routes.

General tiredness affected many players yesterday. All the more reason to keep rotations from the 2nds happening.

Went to sleep in second half. Absolutely no run in second half. A real worry. Kicking for goal needs drastic improvement. If we kicked straight in 2nd quarter Brisbane would not have even got close. Jack and McGuane missed easy shots. Fantastic game from Conca. His tackling was top notch. Also thought Morris and Rance were outstanding.

Basil Zemp-something I think it was. I don't think he meant it the way you're taking it

Something is wrong there with Cotch getting nine votes, I have it on good authority that Cotch was not in our best players.
