i know someone who had some involvement with the Spencer st rebuild. The architect boasted how no two sections of the roof have the same angles. This made construction a nightmare and there was immense wastage.

I often wonder if the term educated stuffwit was coined for architects and engineers.

I agree. Ive tried to give fedsquare a chance but have reached the conclusion they should just bulldoze it all and start again

We have some absolutely beautiful old buidlings in this great city (Flinders street Station is perfect example) and all these dopey architects seem hell bent on turning them into "eyesores" by destroying thier character with modernisation  :banghead

fedsquare should have been one building only in the mould of the guggenheim museum in Balbao not the same but should have had a similar type theme. One of the great buildings and modern architectural successes of all time IMHO.
