A grand total of three Bomber fans showed up for this rally :rollin

Fans planned to rally at Federation Square at 4.30pm before marching to tonight's MCG blockbuster against Carlton, in a show of faith in James Hird and the Bombers.

But by 6pm, Federation Square was entirely devoid of Essendon fans after Ashleigh Waller and her two friends gave up waiting for the rally that never was.

They held "Stand By Hird" signs for an hour before realising that no one else was coming.

Ms Waller, 26, said she heard about the rally on Facebook and saw that more than 100 people planned to attend.

"But the person organising it isn't even here ... No one knows what to do," she said.

The "Stand By Hird" Twitter account was plugging the rally earlier today.

"Only an hour until fans meet up at fed square! Get down there in ur #redandblack and show ur support for the boys! #godons," they posted.
