Should we Target Essendon Players?
« on: August 23, 2013, 12:03:12 AM »
Considering that some of Australia's highest qualified Employment Lawyers are saying that Essendon players can walk out on their contracts should we consider trying to get 1 or 2 out of the dump that is Essendon.

For me we should target David Zaharakis at least

Legal experts believe there is a strong case to say that Essendon's alleged failing in providing a safe workplace would allow the players to terminate their contracts - in effect, enabling even those under contract to leave the club if they wished to exercise that right.

TBC

would offer him 400k

He is a good ruckman IMO and would be a great replacement for Ivan

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Definitely NOT! When ASADA or WADA impose mandatory 2 year bans on the 38 or so Essendon players who took part in the club's systematic injecting program, we would be investing in the very definition of a "list clogger" if we were to target any of them.

I don't see why not, if they had taken illegal substances and I do mean IF, then they probably didn't have a choice.
In saying that Watson (obviously talented) is getting a little long in the tooth so younger fellas like Zaharakis, Heppel and a few others would be a good choice for any other club. The two mentioned would fit well into the Tigers I reckon.

That's a big no thanks from me ! They're all crap. Besides , anyone Richmond has ever recruited from Essendon over the years has been totally pox. Alan Noonan , Steve Taubert , Andrew Underwood , Mark Eustice , Michael Thompson , Justin Blumfield , Tom Hislop , Bachar Houli , Tom Lonergan.
Bloody Hell ! what a bunch of hacks. Essendon always hoodwink us on that score.
