Have you considered the thought that if Freo win the flag, then every side in the AFL bar the 2 brand new kids and Richmond will have won a Premiership since the game went national.

Melbourne?  St Kilda?  Bulldogs?

WHOOPS! Oh yeah, got a bit ahead of myself there :rollin
Us and the Bulldogs are now the only non-expansion clubs not to play in a Grand Final in the last 15 years :P.

For the second year in a row we'll watch on after easily beating both the eventual grand finalists during the year :-\.

What a colour combo in the stands next week - purple, brown blackish and gold :chuck.

Sorry everybody, but I don't reckon I'll ever warm to the Freo style of game. To me it's more like watching a Boa Constrictor swallowing a Mongoose than a footy match  :P

Yet everyone , all teams play with zones and presses

Freo do it particularly well

Yes, everybody has a defensive aspect to their game, but only Freo is prepared to sacrifice every positive aesthetic feature of the game in the pursuit of a win. Pretty soon I guess everybody else will copy them, and the game will become completely unwatchable.

Not a fan of their style per se

But have to say I love watching them tackle, they are the best tackling side on the comp. Not many teams break a thier tackles.

Wish we could tackle like that

Early last year Freo supporters didn't even like the style but quickly changed their tune once they started winning and we wouldn't be any different. A flag is a flag in the annals of history. It won't be marked with an asterisk in 50 years with the note "ugly brand of football."

Good on Freo I reckon.

I'm getting confused today, reckon on the day I may just end up going for the hawks.
Sometimes I pick a team and then on the day find myself changing, so confusing!

I actually enjoyed watching Freo last night. They were amazing. They still score quite heavily anyway.

I just don't enjoy seeing one team basically coral the other team into a small corner of the ground and not let them out, while meanwhile tumbleweeds blow across the rest of the oval like an open prairie. If this is what our great game has (d)evolved into, then it's been ruined.
