Im gonna say something that many of you wont agree with but In my honest opinion and I have had this opinion for the last 20+ years - the players dont give a crap about the supporters. They play footy to make a very good living and give themselves a great lifestyle, there only loyalty is to there mates who are playing in the same team and maybe to their coaches. They dont give a shti about us. They only say the things they say publicly about the supporters because they are asked to do it by the club for marketing reasons. We are only a source of money to them thats it. Ultimately they dont give poo about us.
I understand what you are saying Ramps and the business person in me probably (begrudgingly) agrees with you
But the footy fan in me doesn't probably more so that to do so would kill off the romantic notion of sport
But for me yesterday after the game it was just a poor message to supporters.
Take away the result and it was simply an amazing day yesterday. The noise, atmosphere, the passion etc generated by Tiger fans was sensational. We deserved something however small in token.
Throw in the sneaky little membership emails during last week with the not acknowledging the fans after the game yesterday and I'd go as far to say from a marketing/PR prespective it hasn't been a great week for the club
