If Dusty does quit for good, then the $500k p.a. put aside for his new contract will be freed up. What should the Club do with it? Go poach a name player from another club now or keep it free as spare salary cap space for our list as it develops further over the next few years?

This is a massive loss for us. Remove Dusty from our midfield and it doesn't look nearly as dangerous.

It will be interesting what we do though. If the club has allocated a sum of money to acquire another player & keep dusty, does it change our focus on the quality of player we chase?

I have no idea of his contract status, but i'd throw serious coin at Steven Motlop.

Use whatever we get from Dusty to get him and use our first rounder on Adams...

I'm dreaming, but i could live with that outcome.

if we are worried about the midfield  use what compensation we get, hopefully a top 5 pick plus second rounder  on a quality young mid/utility like scharenberg for instance and use pick 11 to bring adams in. 2nd rounder we get could be used on a decent young ruckman like darcy cameron.

hopefully it wont be all doom and gloom.

So early on, it sounds as though Melbourne, Carlton and GWS are the teams right into him.

Pick 2 for starters from Melbourne

Carlton, Pick 12 and they trade Yarran and hand that pick over as well.

GWS - Pick 1 would be nice, but maybe Adams and 10.

We should not deal with the Carlton, Essendon or Collingwood FC.

They have nothing to offer us and if Dimma deals with them, especially the former,  he can FO too.

Yarran Betts or any of these cock suckers can stuff off
