I support North's stand.  Pokies are a blight on the pub scene, they just killed live music.  They are also a terrible form of taxation for the government, which is now addicted to it.

If they all got banned IMHO it would be a great improvement, but hey this is a footy forum not politics.

A good Lamington drive or sausage sizzle is far better than leeching money out of poor unfortunates who suffer from gambling addictions. As much as I can't stand Norf, I commend them on their decision to go Pokie free.

Have only ever played the pokies once. I took a really conservative approach and an hour and a half later I won enough money for an ipod shuffle  :cheers
